The life of crew members on cruise ship

As a crew member I recieved a good training so I was capable to do the job easily, but also it is hard to work on a ship so I needed to strenghten my personality.

The life on the cruise ship is not like how I imagined first but I got used to it and I had a lots of fun. I had to get used to work 7 days a week, up to 12 hours a day and my contract was up to 9 months straight but it is possible to get 10 months contract as well.  No joke! No days off, no Sunday off, no weekends off, no holidays just couple of hours breaks per day.

I am proud that I was able to finish my contract.

Sometimes I had no idea what day of the week it is but I always knew how many days are left for the end of your contract.

The best part to work on a cruise ship is that I visited lots of beautiful places of the world.
Before the end of the contract I was already planning my vacations. 🙂

It’s amazing to see that after one contract done I learnt one more language, it was so interesting to meet special people from everywhere, the guests have become my friends, the co-workers and the rest of crew memebers are now my friends and I stay in touch with them.

Believe me, it’s a great feeling. I did my second family there!

And, the best bars ever are the crew bars and crew parties.  I knew when to start it and when to stop it 😁!

As well, the ship is like a floating city. I had whatever I wanted. From bars, clubs, restaurants with different types of food, drinks, casual or very elegant I have had choices. Lots of shops with cloths, jewellery, watches, cosmetics, drinks etc., brands like Swarovski, Cartier, EsteLauder, Louis Vuitton and lots of. There is everything from cheap to very expensive.

As well, there is a big Spa with all the treatmens possible and a gim.

As entertainment, as crew member or guest I could watch the shows like theater, ice show, acrobatic show. There are couple of pools, water slides or without, it depends on ships.

Enjoy your life at the right time!
